We want to provide you with an update on our Oak Trace community and the ongoing health and wellness of our residents amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We learned on Thursday, May 7th, one of our Assisted Living team members tested positive for COVID-19. We have no new or active resident cases of COVID-19 in our community at this time. By way of recap, we have two Assisted Living team members who have tested positive for the virus and both are self-isolating at home.
We continue to work closely with the DuPage County Health Department and the Illinois Department of Public Health. We realize that this situation is concerning to you, and we are committed to being open and transparent, while respecting the privacy of those involved. We have implemented our pre-planned infection control protocols and continue to follow recommended COVID-19 protocols at our community under the guidance of the health agencies.
In order to keep this virus contained, we ask that you continue to be vigilant in keeping our community safe. Therefore, please continue to stay in your homes, practice social distancing, and if you must venture out for essential items, follow all recommended protocols including washing your hands frequently and using hand sanitizer.
We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members.
You are always welcome to contact us directly with questions and concerns. Please contact your Oak Trace management team.
