We want to provide you with an update on our Oak Trace community and the ongoing health and wellness of our residents amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We learned on Monday, May 11, that one of our Health & Wellness Center residents tested positive for COVID-19 and is being cared for in the hospital. By way of recap, we have one resident and four team members, all from our Health & Wellness Center, who have tested positive for the virus in May.
As part of our proactive response to controlling the spread of COVID-19 in our community, we will be working with the DuPage County Health Department and our Medical Director to conduct expanded testing of our Assisted Living residents and team members. Therefore, please do not be concerned if you or your loved one is asked to undergo testing for the virus. Residents may decline COVID-19 testing, and any results will be shared confidentially with the resident.
We understand that you have concerns about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community, and many of you have questions. Please know we continue in our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members. Our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community.
We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members.
You are always welcome to contact us directly with questions and concerns. Please contact your Oak Trace management team.
